Visitors can explore the city's history from the 16th century to the present, discover its commercial traditions, enjoy artistic installations, and gain a unique perspective from a viewing terrace.
The permanent exhibition at the Praga Museum of Warsaw offers a comprehensive narrative of the right-bank Warsaw, particularly the Praga district. The 'Hall of Praga's History' guides visitors through the city's timeline from the 16th century to the present, featuring engravings, paintings, photographs, and multimedia, highlighted by a large model of Golędzinów, Praga, and Skaryszew from the late 18th century.
Moving upstairs, the 'Praga Market Hall' section, designed to reflect the area's commercial heritage, showcases artifacts and multimedia related to Praga's foundation, its markets and bazaars, crafts, industry, social activities, leisure, and infrastructure. Highlights include a vintage horse measuring stick and a Kaiser roll making machine. The museum's historic cellars are transformed with artistic installations, evoking memories of past concerts and contemporary rhythms, alongside an archive of residents' anecdotes and preserved ancient Jewish prayer rooms with wall paintings. A visit can be concluded on the viewing terrace for a different perspective of Praga.
