This exhibition showcases a unique collection of artifacts from the former 'Muzeum Zakładowe' (Company Museum) of Ursus Sp. z o.o., a significant Polish manufacturer. The collection details the history of Ursus production, particularly its agricultural machinery, including tractors from the 1920s and post-war models, as well as engines, awards, and historical documents.
The National Museum of Technology in Warsaw has acquired a unique collection from the Ursus company's former 'Muzeum Zakładowe' (Company Museum), donated by Polskiego Holdingu Obronnego. This collection offers a comprehensive look at the history of Ursus, a key Polish manufacturer, with a particular emphasis on its agricultural machinery.
Key items include the 'Ursus' model 1921/1922 tractor, one of the earliest in Poland, and the post-war Ursus C-45, which mechanized Polish agriculture. The collection also features a prototype Ursus 4512 adapted for gas fuel, various engines and their cross-sections, and a rare CWS M111 Sokół 1000 motorcycle. Alongside machinery, the exhibit includes awards, diplomas, historical documents, photographs, and stationary engines, such as a four-cylinder Ursus engine with a generator. The museum is actively seeking to acquire further technical documentation and related items to preserve this industrial heritage.
