The EkoEksperymentarium exhibition invites visitors to discover for themselves how small, everyday actions can positively impact the environment. Designed as a home environment, it explores energy saving, water conservation, low-carbon cooking, and mindful consumption through interactive experiments and practical tips.
The EkoEksperymentarium exhibition, running from November 17, 2022, to February 26, 2023, encourages visitors to become ecological experimenters rather than passive observers. The exhibition is structured around the layout of a home, with distinct areas dedicated to different aspects of sustainable living. In the living room, visitors can learn about energy-saving methods; the bathroom focuses on water conservation; the kitchen offers 'less waste' recipes; and the bedroom prompts reflection on the benefits of owning fewer possessions. Visitors can engage in activities such as identifying energy vampires, playing shopping bingo, and preparing low-carbon meals.
Curated by Małgosia Żmijska and Joanna Studzińska from the Mamy Projekt collective, the exhibition aims to provide practical and simple ways to adopt an 'eco' lifestyle. The space is brought to life with intriguing illustrations by Paweł Szlotawa, with scenography by Studio Gdyby. The project, supported by the Ministry of Climate and Environment and partners like Fundacja ING Dzieciom, Velux, and Interzero, emphasizes that changing habits can be challenging, but offers accessible tips to make sustainable living easier and better for both individuals and the environment. Online ecological games for children are also available.
