This exhibition showcases recent acquisitions to the Museum of Warsaw's collection, made possible by financial support from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Visitors can view a newly acquired breakfast set by August Teodor Werner and examples of 19th and 20th-century patriotic haberdashery.
The Museum of Warsaw proudly presents an exhibition highlighting its latest acquisitions, generously funded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. The display features a significant silver breakfast set, created around 1860 by Karol Malcz and identified as a master's work by August Teodor Werner, comprising a jug, teapot, milk jug, sugar bowl, and dish. Alongside this exquisite tableware, the exhibition also showcases examples of patriotic haberdashery, including rings, brooches, and pendants adorned with national symbols such as the white eagle and images of Tadeusz Kościuszko, as well as symbols of faith, hope, and love. These items range in age from the early 19th century to about a century later, reflecting a period of significant national sentiment and craftsmanship.
