Hundreds of curious visitors of all ages recently gathered in Oxfordshire for an interactive festival experience celebrating hands-on research and discovery. Hosted in collaboration with the annual science and ideas festival IF Oxford, the special event brought families together to engage directly with working researchers, scientists, and presenters.
Family Discoveries and Woodland Exploration in Oxford
Visitors exploring the facility enjoyed a mix of indoor and outdoor activities. Alongside the venue's permanent hands-on Exploration Zone and its surrounding 15 acres of woodland and ponds, the special programme featured unique guest presentations and workshops.
Participants raced mini rolling-robots and tested materials used for generating star power with the UK Atomic Energy Authority. Younger audiences also experienced the multi-sensory ‘Amazing Air’ show led by Dr Sarah Bearchell, alongside engaging science demonstrations and illusions presented by Brighton Science Festival founder Richard Robinson.
