The exhibition 'Posed, Candid. Wojciech Plewiński’s photographs' delves into the extensive and varied work of the photographer, who, despite his many passions, identified primarily as a photographer. Spanning over 70 years, Plewiński's archive includes over 500 covers for _Przekrój_ weekly, photographs of more than 800 theatre performances, and thousands of personal images. The exhibition highlights Plewiński's approach as an alert, sensitive, and formally disciplined observer of people. His documentary photographs reflect post-war Poland, from the Western Territories' recovery in the _Sklepiki_ series to communist Poland in _Nowa Huta_ and commissioned reports from factories. The _SAM-y_ series captures the aspiration for car ownership in the 1950s, while other works document rural life in Biebrza River valley and his ongoing _Zauważone_ (Spotted) series. A significant portion features portraits of artists and intellectuals, alongside his theatre photography, renowned for preserving performance atmosphere with traditional methods.
