The Last Traces of the Warsaw Ghetto: An 83rd Anniversary Historical Presentation

This presentation, linked to the 83rd anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, focuses on the surviving physical remnants of the Warsaw Ghetto, such as fragments of walls and buildings, and the significant Ringelblum Archive. Researchers from the Milion Explorers Team will discuss their findings and the historical importance of these legacies.

This event delves into the physical remnants that survived the Warsaw Ghetto, challenging the common perception of it being entirely razed after World War II. It highlights surviving elements like a cemetery, wall fragments, and buildings, alongside the crucial Ringelblum Archive. Researchers from the Milion Explorers Team will share insights from their work, focusing on selected traces of the Warsaw Ghetto. The presentation will also prominently feature the Ringelblum Archive, a UNESCO World Heritage collection of over 30,000 documents, representing the most significant material legacy of the Ghetto. The discussion will be led by members of the Interdisciplinary Research Team – Milion Explorers Team, including Jacek Boborycki, chairman of the group's board, and Jakub Paradowski, a group member and licensed guide for PTTK and the Jewish Historical Institute. The Milion Explorers Team is known for its interdisciplinary research in geology, paleontology, hydrology, nature conservation, invasive species, and history within Warsaw and its surroundings.
