The 'Sound in the Silence – workshops for teachers' event invites educators to a one-day international seminar dedicated to informal education methodologies, coinciding with the 6th edition of the 'Sound in the Silence' project. Taking place on Sunday, September 30, 2018, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the History Meeting House, the seminar will host teachers from Finland, Lithuania, Germany, Slovakia, and Poland. The sessions are designed to discuss tools for informal education and their practical application in school history curricula. Participants will be introduced to the educational methodology of the 'Sound in the Silence' project and its new online platform for history teachers. The afternoon session, led by journalist, teacher, and historian Jan Wróbel, will delve into current challenges in history education and explore opportunities for integrating informal educational tools into school practices. 'Sound in the Silence' itself is a joint initiative by the European Network Remembrance and Solidarity (ENRS) and the MOTTE association, aiming to engage high school students with difficult aspects of European history through immersive experiences at memorial sites and collaborative artistic creations. This year marks the first time the project's main phase is complemented by dedicated teacher training.
